It all started with a dream. Rafael “Rafi” Escobedo had been an award winning jewelry maker for many years, but knew he had a bigger purpose that combined his love for great conversation and spending time with friends and family. As time went on, Rafi searched high and low for his calling. Being a creature of habit, Rafi would go and get his hair cut at the same place, time after time. Each time he went, there was a vacant restaurant next door that would “speak” to him, but he wasn’t quite sure what he would do with an empty building. Then, one day in 2013, he saw someone standing outside of the empty space who suggested, that someone should open up a Tex-Mex restaurant there. That was it. Rafi’s dream became a spark and with the support of his wife Raquel, and their family, Rio Bravo was born! Not only did Rio Bravo have great food and drinks, but they did it with neighborly spirit and southern hospitality. Today, after more than 5 years in business, Rio Bravo continues in that tradition and has become famous for it’s amazing margaritas and sizzling fajitas. So, pull up a chair, grab a margarita, and get ready to enjoy some of the best Mexican food North of the Border.
